About Stock Tokens
What Robinhood Stock Tokens are, and how Dotto uses their data.
What they are
Robinhood Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They provide economic exposure to underlying shares or ETFs, not ownership rights in those underlying shares or ETFs. They carry significant risk and may not be available in your country.
Each Stock Token is a standard ERC-20 token with 18 decimals on Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based network (chain ID 4663).
Splits and dividends
Corporate actions are handled with an onchain multiplier (the token's uiMultiplier, ERC-8056). Your raw token balance stays the same; the shares-per-token ratio changes. Dotto shows token units and uses multiplier-adjusted token prices, so a split doesn't look like a price collapse.
How Dotto prices them
- Reference prices come from Robinhood's public Stock Token API, which returns bid and ask quotes and the time they were generated.
- Dotto values holdings at the mid of the token bid and ask. A simulated sale fills at the bid and a purchase at the ask.
- Dotto only accepts tokens whose contract address appears in Robinhood's canonical asset registry. A token with a matching ticker at another address isn't treated as a Stock Token.
- Reference prices aren't executable quotes from an onchain venue. Dotto labels them as reference prices everywhere.
